Very own crochet video tutorial!

Hello dear friends! I'm back with my new update, my very own first tutorial video about crochet! It can help you out on HOW TO HOLD YOUR HOOK and HOW TO HOLD YOUR YARN through a total of 2 (for the hook) + 3 (for the yarn) techniques! It's really simple, but if you have some kind of doubt, don't hesitate sending me a message that I'll for sure be glad to help you out! So here it goes:

So after some owned pause from crocheting I had finaly decided to dive in again into this fabulous world, I had completed two of the three magazine projects, but I've noticed I've to do changes to all my projects because I've forgotten to do one turn all around the project in single crochet (I did only one line, instead of a line all over the square project edges, pf, they aren't really clear about it on the magazine, I've noticed watching the image of the finished square all done on it). I completed already most of it but I have still three little squares to work on, before moving on to the last magazine! Pffff, I just wanna move on already!

Since I'm in standby for awhile (again, I know), I've been more concentrated in social networks (tumblr, pinterest, heart it, facebook) more than doing other useful stuff. I'm working on a new idea since I've found a great game recorder, so sims now is on my mind, although I don't feel super excited about it (yet, :/). I feel kinda of troubled right now as well, so I take most of my time just wondering around and doing my own stuff, even if that means thinking and not doing nothing else. I'm reading also Fifty Shades of Grey, yay! And I have Vampire Academy series waiting on the line as well, but first Fifty Shades Series has to be finished, God give me strenght!

I've also taken a lot of pics, not selfies though since I still don't like being in front of a cam. Soon I'll make an year here on Italy, and I guess it's not good in a way. In two weeks my girlfriend is home for vacations, and we also celebrate our 3 years and 9 months anniversary that we are together, yay! Another update is that I've done my tooth (I had to root canal one of my mollars, but I had an acessory channel so I had to reopen it after it was finished, and do it again), but it isn't closed still (it has been three weeks now I have the provisory covering), hopefully I'll finish it for good on wednesday and start the next mollar (also for root canal, all this caused by pulpite, that resulted into a nevralgia) maybe next week. I so don't like the dentist. meh.

Anyway, enough of babling, I hope you find my video helpful if you are starting as well as me, be free to comment and give your opinion!

See you on another time! :D

Taking some time off :)

Hi everyone! Some time as passed since my last post, and so I'm back to leave you another great creation I've made (well tried :D). Actually it's only my second creation. It's cute flower bookmarkers from Meladora's Creations website. You can find flowers and other kinds of bookmarkers (rainbow, etc) here: http://www.meladorascreations.com/bookmarkers.htm.

The blue flower was supost to be a Daisy Bookmarker (find pattern here: http://www.meladorascreations.com/daisybookmarker.htm) but I don't have many colors of yarn yet so I did it with the colors I had. The salmon flower is a color adaptation (only different on the color) of the Purple Flower Bookmarker of Meladora's Creations (find pattern here: http://www.meladorascreations.com/purpleflowerbookmark.htm).

I'm taking some time off from crocheting this few days, although I have a lot to do (finish THREE squares and TWO flowers for my blanket), I've feel like dedicating some of my time to other hobbies.

In my opinion crocheting can't be forced, if you feel like doing it, you do, but if you don't sometimes you better take some time off, relaxing, doing other hobbies and things you like, and then naturally you'll have patience and dedication for it again. So if someday you feel just tired or without will, don't stress, it will be back before you know it. Breath, and just live.

Hope you liked it, have fun, and happy crocheting!

Buondì!

Hello everyone, another day is here and so I decided to share some other creation of mine: Angel Stich Gloves (I don't own the pattern though, you can find it here: http://www.meladorascreations.com/angelstgloves.htm), sadly I still have to finish the other glove because I ran out of yarn. :\

After some long days where I had a lot of sweets and finally finished the anniversary gift on cross stich for my girlfriend's birthday (nothing special :\, the pic of it it's this one bellow), I emerged myself again in crocheting.

I never said it before but I'm working on a blanket (Coperta Bouquet) from Idee a Crochet of Deagostini, which is a crochet magazine that started being released some months ago here on Italy. Here bellow there is the first edition where you can see the blanket I'm talking about:

I still don't know if I really will do a blanket out of it or maybe use some of the little squares and flowers to do a pillow cover or even something else. Truth is creating this little squares I can learn different techniques using single crochet and double crochet only, obtaining like this squares with different patterns. Also I can learn brand new forms to create dozens of flowers :)

Here is some of my progress:

Some turned out to be a little bigger than expected but if I would have done it too tight I wouldn't be able to work on it. Some were also hard to understand so I pretty much had to do it on my own. I still have another square + flower to work on which I expect to finish this week or the next hopefully :) Here is what I've done so far (I have to work it up until it has 15 cm):

This magazines are really good, besides awesome ideas from bag decorations and cardigans to amigurumi (crocheted/knitted stuffed toy), there is also "classes" where you learn how to crochet and advices about all kinds of stuff like creating a sample. It really helped me erase some doubts I had about crocheting.

Well, after all being said I now will go crocheting some more!
Happy crocheting everyone!

This is where the adventure starts :)

My name is Ana Silva, I'm currently 19 years old which were celebrated on 1st April 2014. I dropped out of school on 2013 (unfortunently didn't complete it, only found out months later) to be with my partner, which I love dearly. She and her family accepted me into her home and loved me for who I am, took and take care of me like I'm from their own blood and I'm really grateful for it, honestly I can't ask for more. They gave me the best year of my life :)

I'm a very diverse person, most consider me a bit weird but I'm proud of who I am, I have a lot to work out still, but who hasn't? I'm very calm and quiet, but if I feel confortable enough I'll open up. I've passed through a lot (the normal, I guess, I'm aware there is people that have worst problems but okay :\) but I'm moving on slowly and trying to better myself and overcoming my negativist and sadness over time.

I'm from Portugal, and as everybody can notice english is not my mother language (portuguese is). Nowdays I spick mostly English and Italian. I can understand also spanish, I used to spick it a bit as well but that was three years ago and I've basically forgot most of it (I confuse it with Italian while spicking :\).

I like to read, watch movies (horror, action, thriller, sci fi, etc), play video games (sims 2 mainly) and watch tv series (Mom, Arrow, The Following, The Tomorrow People, The Originals, Vampire Diaries, etc). When on the mood I love also to hear some music, I don't have specific references but like everybody I listen more to pop singers.

I like to swim a lot, I love the snow, the montains, the sea, the river, etc. I don't have a favourite season but I like spring a lot because of all the flowers that presents us and I like also sunny winter days when the plants shine out with morning drops of water. I love to just relax with a book outside, on a spring afternoon, with the breeze flowing, but I also love to stay inside with a blanket and a cup of coffee with milk, doing the same or just watching something. I guess I'm a bit old fashioned.

I live on Italy with my fiancee as I said before (I'm bisexual, although I never had any kind of experience with men, and I don't want to either), we are together for almost four years now. We met through the internet (facebook), and we started talking, soon to find ourselves too much into each other. One day she came to visit me on my country and that day we just realized how perfect we felt together. It was like we knew each other for years although we met physically only a couple of hours ago. I was completly confortable with her like with no one else before, and I never felt like she was a stranger. Surprisingly I was the one first kissing her (which is something very unsual of me, it actually never had happened to me before, and another thing is I didn't even realised it was me doing so... weird eh?). She is ten years older than me, which some may consider too much, but to be honest I never felt the age difference, I always feel like we have equal levels of maturity although she has more experience than me (that's for sure). She is very caring of me, and understands me, making me happy and tranquil when I'm tormented with something. If it wasn't for her I don't know where I would be right now.

But enough now. I started this blog so I can create some place where I can post and share my love for crocheting. I may post other stuff also like cross stiching or blog a bit of my life experiences so basically it will be my personal blog. I don't have much experience in both fields yet, but I'm improving (I guess) and I would love to share my progress and inspiring people to crochet with me. So tag along if you want :) I'll try not to disappoint you all!

Here is a pic of my first crochet creation :) Little fish dishcloth, which you can find here: http://www.fiberfluxblog.com/2012/07/free-crochet-patternfabulous-fish.html
